Getting started
A mission app for the moment when you'd like to change a little but don't know where to start. Every day, week and month, small actions you wouldn't normally pick arrive. Tick off the ones you managed. Complete missions and the crystal at the center of your island grows, and a town spreads around it.
Building habits isn't the goal. The point is to stack up "one thing unlike you" and let your world get a little wider.
No. You can start right away without an email address or password. An anonymous account is created automatically on first launch, and your mission progress and island are stored under it.
Only when you use Friends do you register a display name (3–12 characters; you can change it later).
English and Japanese. The app follows your device language (anything other than Japanese shows English), and you can pin a language in Settings → Display language. Missions and titles switch language too.
- Read the short opening story (you can skip it)
- Choose the land for your island, the pedestal for your crystal, and the crystal itself
- If there's anything you can't or don't want to do, set it aside here (you can change this later)
- Tap "Missions" at the bottom and look at today's missions
In-app guidance (the tutorial) walks you through the controls. To see it again, use Settings → Reset tutorial.
Missions
Nothing. There are no penalties, and nobody scolds you for a broken streak. The missions that arrive are there to do or not do, as you like. When the next cycle comes, new ones arrive.
No. Everything is self-reported. We never ask for photos or records, and there's no leaderboard comparing you with other users. Since it's self-reported, a competition wouldn't mean anything anyway.
Five each for daily, weekly and monthly: 15 at a time.
- Daily: every day (by your device's date)
- Weekly: every Monday
- Monthly: on the 1st of each month
The current cycle is shown at the top of the mission list. There are 715 missions in all, drawn at random.
Two options.
- Exclude it: choose "I can't do this" from the card's "⋯" or long-press menu, and that mission (or that kind of mission) stops arriving. No reason required. You can bring it back any time from Settings → Mission exclusions
- Redraw: the "⟳" on the list redraws that cycle's missions. There's a limit per cycle
Anything you exclude is replaced on the spot with another mission.
Yes. Missions with an amount, like "Run 5 km," come in three levels: Easy / Normal / Hard. From the card's detail view you can switch for that mission alone, for that cycle alone. "3 km today" and "5 km is nothing" are both accepted. No limits, no cooldowns.
The default for all missions is in Settings → Mission difficulty. Missions with no amount to change, like "Tidy your desk," don't show the switch.
Yes. Choose "Make it a habit" from the card's menu and it stays in the "Habits" tab regardless of the draw. Up to 5 habits per cycle. "Remove from habits" undoes it any time.
Because when you can see the category, you end up picking only what you're good at or already like. Nadge exists to nudge you toward things you don't usually do, so it deliberately hides the category and shows only the concrete action. Categories are handled internally and shape how your island grows.
Missions that step into something for the first time, like "Try a ... you've never tried." Completing one earns unknown points on top of the usual points, which you can spend in the shop to choose and build the building you want.
Yes. Set conditions like "strenuous exercise is difficult" or "long reading sessions are difficult" and matching missions stop arriving. You can do this when you make your island, or later in Settings → Mission exclusions. If a mission arrives and feels too hard, you can drop it on the spot.
These settings are stored only on your device and never shown to friends.
Island & crystal
Completing missions earns points, and the level of the crystal at the center of your island rises. When it levels up, a building is raised using the points you've saved. If nothing is affordable, nothing is built that time.
Which building appears depends on the kinds of things you've been doing. If you only ever do one kind of thing, the town grows lopsided, and it shows.
Each building has a cost, and if nothing is affordable at that moment, nothing is built. From the crystal list (📋 on the crystal bar), open "ℹ️ Details" to see your current points and the candidates that are "N pt away." Keep going a little and something usually appears at the next level.
Yes. Spend the unknown points you earn from "Unknown" missions in the shop (🛒 on the crystal bar) to pick a building. Once built, you can move buildings and swap their positions in edit mode.
The collection records every building that has appeared on your islands (more than 160). Titles are earned by meeting conditions such as days in a row or missions completed; there are 163. Combine the titles you've collected, one as the first half and one as the second, into an epithet of your own. Both open from My Page.
The free version has one. With the one-time in-app purchase "Unlock Map Slots," you can grow a separate island for each crystal (say, one for work and one for home). Each island can have its own exclusion settings.
Yes. From the crystal list you can reset an island (level, buildings and unknown points go back to zero; the crystal, pedestal, land and name stay) or delete it. Neither can be undone, so read the confirmation carefully.
Friends
Register a display name under "Friends" on My Page and you get a friend code (9 letters and digits). Trade codes, send a request, and you're friends once the other person approves. You can also search by the first part of a name. Up to 50 friends.
Your name, level, epithet, the number of titles you've earned, and the island you chose as "the crystal to show friends." Titles earned and level-ups appear on the timeline (you can make it private in the Friends settings).
Exclusion settings, island names and notes, and the missions currently offered to you are never shown.
Send a Like on a friend's timeline and both of you earn friend points. Friend points can be spent on avatar outfits on My Page. It isn't a place to compete, so there are no rankings or comparisons of completion counts.
There are no notifications nagging you about missions. The only notifications are for friends' titles and level-ups, and they're off unless you turn them on in the Friends settings.
Pricing
The download and the core features (missions, island, titles, collection, Friends) are free. No ads are shown.
A one-time in-app purchase, "Unlock Map Slots," lets you grow separate islands for separate purposes. There are no subscriptions. See the price in the app.
Try Settings → Restore purchases. Purchases made under the same Apple or Google account are restored from the store. The same works after changing devices.
If it still isn't unlocked, email nadge@appforet.com with the purchase date and your OS.
In-app purchases are processed by the App Store / Google Play, so refunds follow each store's policy; we can't process them ourselves. On the App Store use Apple's "Report a Problem"; on Google Play use your order history.
Data & privacy
Exclusion settings (the things you can't do) are stored only on your device and never sent to our servers or to friends. If you use Friends, only limited information is visible: your name, level, epithet, the number of titles, and the island you chose to show.
We don't access your location, contacts or photos, and we don't collect advertising identifiers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
You can transfer without an account.
- On the old device: Settings → Transfer (new device) → Issue transfer code
- On the new device, install Nadge: Settings → Transfer (new device) → Enter transfer code
Your Friends data (name, friend code, friendships) and purchased features move to the new device. Issuing a new code invalidates the previous one. Note that the new device's own name and friends are discarded and replaced by the transferred ones.
Be sure to read the notes on the transfer screen in the app about exactly what is carried over.
Data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app. To delete the data on our servers (account, progress, friends and so on), email us. The procedure and what gets deleted are on the Data Deletion page.
Viewing the mission list and ticking off missions work without a connection (the mission data ships with the app). Friends, purchases and transfer need a connection. Progress syncs automatically once you're back online.
