Terms of Service

Effective: August 3, 2026 / Last updated: September 20, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the mobile application "Nadge" (the "App") and its related website (together, the "Service") provided by App Foret ("we", "us" or "the Operator"). By using the Service, you (the "User") agree to these Terms.

This English version is provided for convenience. If there is any inconsistency between this version and the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.

1. Application

These Terms apply to the conditions of the Service and to every aspect of the relationship between the Operator and the User concerning the Service. Individual rules and guidelines we post in the Service (including the Privacy Policy and the terms of the app stores) form part of these Terms.

2. The Service

The Service presents the User with everyday actions to try (the "Missions"). As the User records completing them, in-app elements such as points, level, the growth of the crystal and island, and titles change. Its purpose is to nudge the User toward their own actions.

Completion of a Mission is recorded by the User's own report. We never ask for proof and never verify whether a Mission was actually done. Nor do we impose any disadvantage (restricted features, charges or otherwise) for not completing Missions.

3. Registration and accounts

  1. The App creates an anonymous account automatically on first launch. The User registers a username (display name) on first launch; in certain features such as Friends, this name is shown to other Users. The name can be changed at any time. Names containing inappropriate words may be rejected.
  2. The User is responsible for managing their own account and device. Loss or reset of the device, or deletion of the App, may result in the loss of the account and its progress. We are not liable for resulting damage except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
  3. The App provides a transfer feature using a transfer code for changing devices. The User is responsible for keeping the code safe; we are not liable for damage caused by a third party learning the code. What the transfer carries over is as shown on the transfer screen in the App.

4. Carrying out missions

Whether to carry out a Mission is the User's own decision and responsibility.

  • Missions are prompts for action, not medical, health, legal, financial or other professional advice.
  • Do not attempt anything unreasonable given your physical condition, existing conditions, injuries, pregnancy or other circumstances. Consult a doctor or other professional beforehand where appropriate.
  • For Missions involving outdoor activity, pay attention to weather, traffic and your surroundings. Do not operate the device while walking or driving.
  • Missions that are difficult for you can be excluded in advance through the exclusion settings, or set aside or redrawn after they arrive.
  • Do not carry out a Mission in a way that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others.

We are not liable for damage arising from the User carrying out a Mission, except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

5. In-app data

  1. Points (including category points, unknown points and friend points), level, the state of the crystal and island, buildings, titles, collection progress and other in-app elements (the "In-app Data") can be used only within the Service and have no real-world monetary value.
  2. In-app Data cannot be exchanged for money, refunded, transferred, lent or sold.
  3. In-app Data is lost when the Service ends, when data is deleted, when the User resets or deletes an island, or when the App is deleted. We have no obligation to restore lost In-app Data.
  4. If In-app Data is granted in an amount other than intended because of a defect, improper operation or other cause, we may correct or cancel it.

6. Paid features

  1. We provide paid features or in-app purchases (the "Paid Features"). As of the latest revision of these Terms, the Paid Feature offered is "Unlock Map Slots", a one-time (non-consumable) purchase that raises the number of islands the User can create and lets the User choose the grid size of each island. The content, price and conditions shown on the purchase screen in the App are authoritative.
  2. Payment is processed through the App Store (Apple Inc.) or Google Play (Google LLC) under each store's terms and billing conditions. We do not receive payment details.
  3. Because of the nature of the product, we do not accept returns or refunds. Whether a refund is possible, and the procedure, follow each store's refund policy.
  4. The right to use a Paid Feature is tied to the store account (Apple Account or Google Account) used at the time of purchase. Purchased Paid Features can be restored from "Restore purchases" in the App under the same store account. The purchase itself, as recorded by the store, cannot be moved to a different store account.
  5. "Transfer (new device)" in the App moves in-app data (island progress, friends and so on) to the destination device. A Paid Feature remains available on the destination device only where it can be restored there with "Restore purchases" under the same store account used at the time of purchase. Using a Paid Feature under a different store account or on a device running a different OS requires a new purchase. Islands already created with a Paid Feature remain available after the transfer.
  6. If we discontinue a Paid Feature, we will give reasonable notice in the App or on this website.

7. Friends feature

  1. The User can use the Friends feature by registering a display name. Because the name is shown to other users, do not use another person's name, a trademark, or words contrary to public order and morals.
  2. The information shown to other users through the Friends feature is as described in section 3 of the Privacy Policy.
  3. The User may, at any time and at their own discretion, choose whether to accept friend requests and how discoverable they are (whether they appear in lists and name search), approve or decline friend requests, remove friends, block specific users, and set their timeline to private.
  4. If the User finds an inappropriate name or public map, harassment or the like, they may report it to us through "Report to support" in the App. Reports are reviewed only by us, and the reported user is not told who reported them. False reports and reports made to harass are prohibited (section 8).
  5. Harassment, impersonation and conduct that makes other users uncomfortable are prohibited (section 8). If a violation is found, through a report or otherwise, we may without prior notice take measures such as replacing that User's name or public map, hiding them from the "Recently active players" list and name search, or pausing their Friends features. A User reported by several other users may also be hidden from lists and name search until we have reviewed the reports.

8. Prohibited conduct

When using the Service, the User must not:

  1. violate the law or public order and morals;
  2. engage in conduct connected with a crime;
  3. infringe the intellectual property, reputation, privacy or other rights or interests of the Operator, other users or third parties;
  4. disrupt or interfere with the servers or network of the Service, or attempt unauthorized access;
  5. analyze or modify the App, or obtain or alter In-app Data improperly (including by using cheat tools);
  6. obtain or use transfer codes or friend codes improperly, or impersonate others;
  7. report other users with false content or in order to harass them;
  8. harass, defame or otherwise cause discomfort to other users;
  9. create or use multiple accounts for improper purposes;
  10. use the Service for commercial purposes without permission;
  11. engage in any other conduct we reasonably judge inappropriate.

9. Restriction and termination

If the User engages in conduct prohibited by the preceding section, we may restrict all or part of the User's use of the Service or delete the account without prior notice. We are not liable for resulting damage.

10. Intellectual property

Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the programs, text, images, designs, Mission content, titles and all other content that make up the Service belong to the Operator or the respective rightful owners. The User may not reproduce, modify, distribute or transmit them beyond what is necessary to use the Service. Sharing screenshots of your own island on social media for personal purposes is fine.

11. Changes, suspension and termination of the Service

  1. We may change the content of the Service (including the lineup of Missions, titles and buildings) or suspend it without prior notice. We may end the Service by giving reasonable notice on this website or in the App.
  2. We may suspend all or part of the Service without prior notice where providing it becomes difficult because of system maintenance, failure of communication lines or equipment, natural disaster or other force majeure.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

  1. We do not warrant, expressly or impliedly, that the Service is free of factual or legal defects (including defects in safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, fitness for a particular purpose or security, errors or bugs, and infringement of rights).
  2. We are not liable for any damage the User suffers in connection with the Service, except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount the User paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the damage occurred.
  3. We bear no responsibility for disputes between users, or between a User and a third party.

13. Personal information

We handle personal information obtained through the Service in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms where we judge it necessary, in accordance with Article 548-4 of the Civil Code of Japan. When we change the Terms, we will announce the revised content and its effective date on this website or in the App. The User is deemed to have accepted the revised Terms by using the Service on or after the effective date.

15. Notices

Notices from the Operator to the User are given by posting on this website or displaying in the App. Inquiries from the User to the Operator should be sent to nadge@appforet.com.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute between the Operator and the User concerning the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
